Saturday 30th October 2021 – we exhibited Mike Griffin’s research into all the crewmen who had worked on East Neuk Fishing Vessels over the last 50 years. Alongside this we had stalls and teas and coffees.
This is the first time we have been able to organise a public display round the Manx Beauty and show people that the project is about promoting and inspiring community events, not only a boat restoration.. the Manx Beauty is our catalyst for these events.
The event was well attended gaining lots more info about the boats and the crews from ex fishermen and their families. It also raised £301. for the project.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out on the day and to those who provided the home bakes, also to The Coastline Community Church Pittenweem for hosting, to The St Andrrews Photographic Club and Anstrurher and Kilrenny Burgh Collection for the display boards. Scottish Fisheries Museum Model Boats Club, Kirstie Behrens, Gemma Wycherley, The Fruitful Fund, Crooked Sea Jewellery, By the Shore Candles and to all those who provided info for the research.
